About Miwako

Born and raised in Japan, Miwako has dedicated many years to sharing Japanese culture through hospitality and traditional arts.

She studied the koto under her teacher from a young age and holds a teaching certificate in this traditional instrument.

Three years ago, she began studying the Omotesenke tradition of tea ceremony and continues her training through regular visits to her teacher’s tea room in Japan.

Through tea ceremony, matcha and Japanese hospitality, she hopes to share the beauty of Japanese culture with visitors to Kuranda.
